The Snowbird Oktoberfest festival is held every year from August to October at Snowbird ski and snowboard resort near Salt Lake City, Utah. We were lucky enough to attend Snowbird’s 34th Annual Oktoberfest September 2006. Check out the photos below!

Both the event and parking were free, which allowed us plenty of room in our budget to sample the local Utah microbrews and some traditional German food and desserts served with music, dancing, accordions and lederhosen. Besides the arts and crafts booths set up at the festival, there was also an alpine slide, zip rider, and rides on the Snowbird Tram.

According to Snowbird’s web site, Snowbird’s Oktoberfest attracts over 70,000 visitors per year and is one of the largest festivals in Utah.
